The Wonderful World of Chianti Classico
Join us on Wednesday, May 4, from 5:30 to 7:00pm at Ambrosia as we learn about seven Chianti Classicos from the portfolio of Todd Bacon, the buyer for Columbia Distributors. Todd currently lives in Italy where he explores exceptional wines and we feel lucky to have him stateside with us for this event to enthusiastically share his vast knowledge in wine.
How well do you know Chianti Classico?
The earliest documentation of a "Chianti wine" dates back to the thirteenth century when viticulture was known to flourish in the "Chianti Mountains" around Florence. Chiantis have come a long way since the the squat bottle enclosed in a straw basket you might be picturing in your head - you'll learn all about it at our class. Here are a few highlights we'll be tasting:
