A Winemaker Dinner with Lange Winery and Vineyards

Join us for a Winemaker Dinner with Local Wine Pioneer, Don Lange of Lange Winery and Vineyards

Our next four-course wine dinner from 5:30-7:00pm on June 5 will feature Oregon winemaking pioneer, Don Lange, who founded Lange Estate Winery and Vineyards with his wife Wendy in 1987. Lange Estate is known for crafting beautifully balanced wines from fruit grown on the winery Estate, located in the heart of the Dundee Hills appellation, which is known for its volcanic soils.

New-world pioneers in the production of Pinot Gris, Lange Estate was the first to release a barrel-fermented reserve–an effort Matt Kramer of the Wine Spectator called “a bench-mark bottling.” Don Lange’s work as a winemaker has been termed “brilliant” by Hugh Johnson, and the Wine Enthusiast proclaimed Lange Estate to be “one of the great Pinot Noir producers in the United States.

Don Lange will showcase six wines that represent the winery’s three varietals and answer all your questions. The wines we'll be tasting are:

- Rosé of Pinot Noir 2015
- Pinot Gris 'Reserve' 2016
- Chardonnay 3 Hills Cuvee 2015
- Pinot Noir Willamette Valley 2014
- Pinot Noir 3 Hills Cuvée 2011
- Pinot Noir 3 Hills Cuvée 2014

Ambrosia's inimitable kitchen staff, led by Chef Rory Valentino, will prepare four courses to pair with the the wines. The cost is $65 per person, plus gratuity.  Buy 12 bottles or more at the event and receive a 10% discount. Space is limited to 28 people. Make your prepaid reservations by calling Ambrosia at 541-342-4141.
